The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency has broken up an out-of-state drug trafficking operation in Washington County.

For the past several months, agents assigned to MDEA’s Downeast Task Force have been investigating the sale of Fentanyl and Cocaine from a Milbridge residence.

Yesterday, March 7, MDEA agents, with the assistance of the Maine State Police, stopped a vehicle operated by Rasheib Edward Yancy, 45, of Billerica, MA on I-95 in Newport. Yancy is the suspected source of supply of the drugs going to the Milbridge residence.

Agents located approximately 103 grams of Fentanyl and 143 grams of Cocaine. The combined Washington County street value of the drugs seized is approximately $40,000.

Yancy was arrested and transported to the Penobscot County Jail where he has been charged with drug trafficking. His bail was set at $100,000 in cash. It is anticipated that he will face the additional charge of illegal importation drugs.
