Following a growing amount of criticism, the Department of Homeland Security has paused its new disinformation governance board. Nina Jankowicz, who allegedly has posted controversial videos and tweets, has resigned as the board’s director.
Criticism of the board pointed to fears of it impinging on free speech rights.
The board has not formally been shut-down, but will be reviewed by members of a DHS advisory council.
