The Maine Department of Education has removed at least one age inappropriate video from its website after House Republican Education Committee Lead, and former school superintendent, Rep. Paul Stearns contacted Commissioner of Education Pender Makin, and the Governor’s Office, expressing concerns that the DOE website contains questionable lessons intended for use in kindergarten. Rep. Stearns wrote that “After looking on the site I was shocked to find that the description of this lesson was accurate.”
