Gary Boulet, a Maine Capitol Police officer, who this spring saved two men who were overdosing in Augusta, is being honored for saving their lives.
June 24, Officer Boulet was on patrol near the Riverview Psychiatric Hospital in Augusta when he was told about two men who appeared to be sleeping in a convertible. He determined they both were overdosing. Boulet administer Narcan to one man. The other did not need Narcan. Both were taken to the hospital and recovered.
